The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District is proud to present the Mississippi Bar Trail Run, an annual trail run through the wetlands, oaks and single track on the north shore of Lake Natoma. This beautiful area in Fair Oaks once mined by gold prospectors is a real gem for outdoor enthusiasts and is a great location for hikes, bird watching, horseback rides, mountain biking and, of course, trail running. This year we will be adding a 10K option for those looking for an extra challenge. We look forward to seeing you at our third annual event on June 4, 2022.

Fair Oaks Farmers' Market is a Certified Farmers' Market at Fair Oaks Park!  Open every Tuesday 8am-1pm, year-round, rain or shine!  The market offers freshly picked, seasonal produce grown by small family farms in the region!  There is a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, honey, eggs, meat, herbs, olive oil, and olives.   Most of the farmers grow their crops "naturally" and some are Certified Organic.  Come get to know your farmers and learn about their farming practices.  Enjoy the many craft food vendors offering hummus, yogurt, veggie dips, salsa, fish, rubs, pies, cookies, bread, scones, and more!

The market is a great place to shop and stock up while enjoying the many food trucks and craft corner!  Crafters offer jewelry, hand-knitted hats and scarfs, baskets, wind chimes, art, and so much more

JUNE 13-16 | ALL FORPD PARKS

Go on an epic hunt for hidden keys for your chance to unlock a prize! The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District (FORPD) will hide over four hundred (400) keys throughout all eleven (11) FORPD parks. Three lucky keys will unlock a prize. Search often as keys will not be hidden all at once but over time.

WHERE & WHEN TO FIND KEYS

All keys (attached to a small laminated business card) will be hidden throughout Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District Parks beginning June 13- June 16. For a list of parks click here. Keys will not be hidden in the lawn or areas that may get mowed. Example areas you may find keys: walk paths, gates, benches, signs, etc. Search often as keys will be hidden sporadically across the parks at different times.

HOW TO TURN IN YOUR KEYS

Bring your key(s) and see if you've won, on Thursday, June 16th between 5pm-6:30pm at Fair Oaks Park (11549 Fair Oaks Blvd.). Please, no more than 10 keys per person/family. Sorry, this will be the only date/time to test your key, if you are unable to attend yourself, we suggest asking a friend.
