About San Juan Water District

About Us About Us

San Juan Water District is a community services district established by a vote of the citizens in 1954, formed under Section 61000 et seq., Title 6, Division 3 of the California Government Code Water Code, Section 3000.

We provide reliable, high-quality water service to both retail and wholesale customers in eastern Sacramento and southern Placer counties. San Juan’s roots date back to the Gold Rush era with the formation in 1854 of the original entity, North Fork American River and Mining Company, later known as the North Fork Ditch Company.
